We wanted to design a glassware set for our nostalgic, music loving customer. This was one of our first attempts at integrating the glassware with the printed design. A ware “rocks” and “rolls” paired with the abstract vinyl record design integrates the design and function.

I collaborated with one of our long-time artists who originally created these characters to include hobbies. Once we had the hobbies selected and illustrated, I cleaned up the art and created templates. The collection included tumblers, blankets, and art.

These glasses combine two things the UncommonGoods customer loves: geography and bike riding. The City Bike Map glasses were very popular from their roll out, partially because of their unique design, but also because the maps are remarkably accurate. Created through a lot of meticulous research, these maps were pieced together from several different sources of information. Each map took about 12+ hours to create including stringent fact checking. There were many customer reviews that acknowledge and appreciate the accuracy of the maps.
Spec Creation, Packaging, Illustration
At UncommonGoods, I was responsible for creating the packaging for our items. Most of the time this meant an artist card and label, but for some items we created custom packaging.

The budget for trade shows was quite small but they wanted a way to to showcase special features to attendees when they were walking by the booth.
